Work Package 1 - Research - state of the art

Objective

Identify the skills gaps, especially regarding digital skills in the WISEs sector, and determine the potential future skills needs. Set up an overview of the WISEs sector in Europe.  

Tasks:

  • Map activities and common characteristics of WISEs, assess the current skills needs and digital skills gap in WISEs and anticipating future needs.
  • Map and characterize the subsectors of WISEs in 27 EU countries.
  • Map skills needs and gaps, especially in the digital area, covering 3 target groups (disadvantaged people, enablers and managers).
  • Collect good practices on the development of digital skills in WISEs.

Work Package 2- Building Scenarios and "Personas" for Sectoral Skills Strategy

Objective:

Identify occupational profiles that need to be revised or created and their corresponding skill needs and required proficiency level. A focus will be put on digital and generic green skills. The research will emphasized the experiences and needs of the different disadvantaged groups.

Tasks:

  • Create “scenarios” that picture different types of WISEs with a focus on the use of technologies.
  • Create “Personas” that picture different types of people working in WISEs for which skills gaps are identified in the scenarios.

Work Package 3 - Design of VET curricula meeting skills gaps

Objective:

Identify occupational profiles in the WISEs sector and develop learning outcomes for each of them. Creation of 3 VET curriculas, one for each occupational profile. Each curricula will be composed of 3 core modules for a total planned duration of 150-200 hours. Creation of tutorial kits for teachers/trainers and a MOOC on Digital skills for the WISEs sector.

Tasks:

  • Develop occupational profiles in the WISEs sector, following ESCO methodology
  • Develop Learning Outcomes for each Occupational profile
  • Define training curriculas for each Occupation profile
  • Create tutorial toolkits for teachers and trainers
  • Develop a MOOC for the WISEs sector

Work Package 4: Pilot Implementation of the curricula

Objective:

Develop specific local plans for each pilots with an ecosystem of key players. Implement pilot trainings in 13 countries (AT, BE, ES, BG, HR, FR, RO, GR, SI, IT, LV, NL, PL). Gather feedbacks from the pilot participants and trainers to improve training materials and teaching methos.

Tasks:

  • Set up pilot in 13 countries
  • Evaluate the pilot courses
  • Propose some adjustment measures for the curricula

Work Package 5: Skills recognition mechanisms

Objective:

Assessment of the curricuals by certification autorities, define WISEs VET curricula quality certification/label.

Tasks

  • Collect the feedbacks on the curricals by national certification authorities
  • Define a WISEs VET Curricula quality certification label

Work Package 6: Sectoral Skills Strategy (Blueprint) for WISEs sector

Objective:

Based on the work done before, draft of a Sectoral Skills strategy (Blueprint) for the WISEs sector, that will include milestones, clear activites and action plan. This strategy will be completed by the creation of a map of funding opportunities for implementation of the Strategy. Practical guidelines for implement of the strategy will be drafted for the national level.

Tasks:

  • Draft the Sectoral Skills strategy
  • Map the funding opportunities for the implementation of the Strategy
  • Prepare practical guidelines for the roll-out of the Strategy at the national level
  • Finalise the Sectoral Skills Strategy
