New training curricula for WISEs unveiled: a new document introduces specialized training curricula for WISEs, targeting Enablers, Supporters, and Workers with Support Needs. These curricula focus on digital and soft skills, aligning with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) to enhance workforce competencies across the sector.

B-WISE announces the publication of a groundbreaking document that introduces specialised training curricula designed specifically for WISEs. These curricula are set to bring new insights on the way WISEs address the skills gaps within the sector, focusing particularly on digital and soft skills.

The document features three distinct curricula, each tailored to a specific target group within the WISEs sector:

  • Enablers: Individuals responsible for leading and managing WISEs.
  • Supporters: Staff members who provide operational and administrative support.
  • Workers with Support Needs: Individuals who require additional guidance and support in their work roles.

This division was strategically chosen during the initial phase of curriculum development to ensure that the training provided is as effective and relevant as possible for each group.

Developed through a collaborative and iterative process involving key stakeholders in the WISEs sector, the curricula aim to equip participants with the essential skills needed for success in the evolving workforce. The focus is on both digital proficiency and soft skills, acknowledging the diverse competencies required across different roles within WISEs.

The document guides users through a wide range of critical topics, including:

  • Skills Targeted: Detailing the specific skills each curriculum aims to develop.
  • Qualification Profiles: Aligning the acquired competencies with the corresponding European Qualifications Framework (EQF) levels.
  • Development Methodology: Outlining the collaborative process used to create the curricula.
  • Training Organization and Structure: Explaining how the training is structured across three core modules:
    1. WISE Identity, Strategy and Transformation
    2. Networking and Communication
    3. Supporting Work and Employability

Each curriculum is further expanded in an annex that presents detailed subunits in Toolkits designed for each target group, along with a comprehensive Question Pool to facilitate assessment and learning.

The curricula are designed in alignment with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), an eight-level framework that harmonizes qualifications across different national contexts, facilitating the comparability and transferability of skills and competencies. By focusing on learning outcomes, the EQF helps to ensure that the qualifications gained through these curricula are recognized and valued across Europe.

These new training curricula are expected to play a pivotal role in empowering workers within the WISEs sector, providing them with the necessary skills to navigate and succeed in the future workforce. By addressing the unique needs of Enablers, Supporters, and Workers with Support Needs, this initiative underscores our commitment to fostering a more inclusive and skilled workforce.
