The B-WISE consortium is pleased to announce the publication of the Reports from National Certification Authorities, a comprehensive summary of the national certification processes for the B-WISE Training Curricula. This report consolidates findings from 13 European countries and provides crucial insights into the progress and challenges of certifying the curricula across diverse national contexts.
Supporting the Certification of B-WISE Training Curricula Across Europe
The B-WISE project aims to develop and implement a strategic approach to address the skills gaps within the Work Integration Social Enterprises (WISEs) sector, with a particular focus on digital skills. A key component of this strategy is the certification of the newly developed B-WISE Training Curricula at the national level, ensuring that it meets the standards and requirements of each participating country.
This summary report is based on national reports submitted by Vocational Education and Training (VET) providers from Austria, Croatia, France, Romania, Greece, Slovenia, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Latvia, Bulgaria, Poland, and Belgium. These reports provide a snapshot of the current state of the certification process in each country, highlighting both successes and challenges.
Key Findings and Insights
The report reveals that, despite the diversity of approaches, requirements, and specificities of national systems, significant progress has been made toward the certification of the B-WISE Training Curricula. Some of the key findings include:
- Improved Clarity and Direction: The certification process has become clearer and better defined, allowing for more focused efforts to address the specific challenges faced by each partner.
- Diverse National Requirements: The variation in national certification standards has highlighted the need for tailored approaches and ongoing support from the B-WISE Consortium to ensure successful certification across all countries.
- Challenges and Solutions: While the process has faced difficulties, such as differing national regulations and resource constraints, the report notes that partners are finding creative solutions to overcome these hurdles and are on track to meet the core objectives of the project.
Path Forward for the B-WISE Project
The findings from this report will serve as a foundation for the final version of the B-WISE Training Curricula, which will be adapted to align with the national standards of each participating country. This adaptation is a critical element of the Sectoral Skills Strategy (Blueprint) for the WISEs sector, ensuring that the curricula are recognized and valued across the European Union.
As the certification process continues, the B-WISE consortium remains committed to supporting its partners, addressing challenges, and ensuring that the B-WISE Training Curricula receive widespread recognition. This will ultimately enhance the impact of the curricula on improving skills and employability within the WISE sector.
